COVID & Social Anxiety

As COVID restrictions disappear and the world feels more and more open, many of us are experiencing mixed emotions. As exciting as this is, we may feel concerned about the safety of various settings. Another emerging challenge is social exhaustion and social anxiety.
Many of us have gotten used to more time at home and less time in public settings, interacting with others. This is especially true for anyone who has transitioned to working from home during the pandemic, and is more severe for anyone who suffers from social anxiety. I love this article on adapting to post-COVID life when you have social anxiety; it provides great tips, small steps you can take, as well as coping strategies.
Remember to go easy on yourself; it is an ongoing journey to adjust to our new yet everchanging “normal”.
