- Jessica Mead is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor who works with adults, adolescents, and families. She sees the client-therapist relationship as key to the therapeutic process and uses individualized and client-centered treatment approaches to meet the needs of each person. She strives to provide a calm, safe and non-judgmental atmosphere where individuals can be validated and heard. Jessica has experience with individuals with depression, anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, relationship issues, and grief and loss. She incorporates strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches to help individuals understand their behaviors and feelings and assist them in finding healthier and more satisfying ways of being and thinking. She integrates mindfulness and stress reduction techniques into the individual’s session. Jessica also works with individuals with substance abuse issues and uses motivational interviewing to guide them through their recovery process. Jessica received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Chicago Jane Addams College of Social work.
