What self-care techniques or activities do you do?
I exercise, read, sing, and engage in Christian activities (retreats).
This field chose me. I bounced around in college trying to figure out what to major in. I took a psychology course and the rest is history.
What are your specialties?
Parenting, Addiction, and Anger Management.
Why do you believe that counseling can help?
Counseling empowers the client to grow and flourish in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Did you have a career before becoming a therapist?
I started my career in community mental health. I decided that I could reach and better serve communities through law enforcement by incorporating my knowledge of mental health.
Why is it important to seek counseling?
After seeing aspects of human behavior at their worst, I know that if people are given the right tools, knowledge, and support, many will choose to embrace their truth.
