What self-care techniques or activities do you do?

Photography is my creative outlet, yoga keeps me grounded, my cat provides fabulous pet therapy, nature, reading, cinema, and time spent with family and friends.

What made you become a therapist?

According to my parents, at the age of 10 years old I informed them “I’ve always been fascinated with the human brain”. I knew I wanted to make meaningful connections with people, and studying psychology in school set me on my path.

What are your specialties?

Family of origin issues, relationship disappointments, life transitions, coping with depression and anxiety.

Did you have a career before becoming a therapist?

I’ve always been in the field, but my initial role was as a recreational therapist, using art, music, movement, games and so on in my practice.

Why do you believe that counseling can help?

Counseling provides a new perspective on yourself as well as others. I truly believe that everyone has the answers they seek to make change, they just need someone to help navigate the path.

Why is it important to seek counseling?

Everyone deserves to have time set aside just for them for self exploration and growth. Its a time to reflect, to be heard, validated, empowered, to problem solve, and to establish long-lasting change.
