Allison Steckbeck is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s in Counseling at Northwestern University. During her time in graduate school, Allison completed in-depth clinical training at The Family Institute as well as at Urban Balance. Allison is also a trauma informed certified yoga teacher and works to incorporates meditation and bodywork into her practice with clients. Allison has experience working with a diverse range of clientele addressing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, life transitions, identity, as well as relationships and family of origin issues. Allison’s practice is guided by her passionate belief that therapy is a positive and pro-active piece of one’s overall healthcare and strives to normalize the process of therapy. Using a genuine and collaborative approach, grounded in psychodynamic theory, Allison specializes in helping her clients explore and create positive growth across their own individual life cycle using a cross cultural and relational lens. Throughout the therapeutic process, Allison creates a trusting, empowering, and empathic environment, where her goal is to ensure each client feels seen and supported while fostering personal growth, healing, and self-awareness.
