Anika is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Behavioral Health Officer in the Army National Guard. She received her MSW from Washington University in St. Louis, MO where she concentrated on Children & Youth with an Expressive Arts Therapy specialization. For the last 25 years, she has worked in corporate settings, state and federal governments, and in sole proprietor private practice until 2017. Anika believes that every individual deserves to be heard and validated in a judgement-free space, where they can receive the assistance they need to manifest the life that they envision living. She is open to working with whichever combination of tools her clients respond to including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and EAP model, in a compassionate and collaborative manner. Anika has worked extensively with individuals and couples in the LGBT and Military communities, members of the Adoption triangle, professional athletes, and those who struggle to manage symptoms related to anxiety, chronic stress and depression.
She is an accomplished fiber artist, published author, and passionate swimmer who hopes to never lose sight of the privilege it is to simply Serve.
