Anjali Lyons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice working with adults and adolescents since receiving her Master’s degree at The University of Chicago in 2004. Anjali has gained experience with individuals and families in private practice, as well as psychiatric and academic hospital settings in Chicago and overseas. Anjali draws on many styles of therapy such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and attachment theory principles in addition to other modalities. Clinical areas of interest include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions (career/family changes), and issues related to personality disorders. Therapy is unique and personally tailored to each client’s goals towards symptom relief and structural change. Anjali meets each client with what they present in the moment. There is no set script, but a unique approach tailored to the individual at their pace. Anjali focuses on the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst towards increased joy and freedom in clients’ lives.
