Callie Thompson, LPC
Callie Thompson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is genuinely passionate about helping others. She has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and refugees and asylum seekers. Callie enjoys working with young adults as they navigate the stresses of everyday life. She nerds out when it comes to working with couples and using the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, having recently completed Level 3 Practicum Training. Callie is also impassioned when it comes to treating those who have suffered from emotional and narcissistic abuse.
Callie will listen to the client’s story with a non-judgmental, curious, and compassionate ear. She is very down to earth and loves to incorporate humor when she can. She typically employs methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-informed therapies, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Callie believes that communication is key in all human relationships, and she will work to build skills and self-confidence with her clients to reach their treatment goals, needs and desires. Callie earned her Master’s in Counseling from St. Edward’s University.
