Charisse Dawkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a US Air Force veteran, Charisse enjoys working with diverse clients and has interests in anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, interpersonal conflict, and career/life transitions. She provides an atmosphere of understanding and respect, valuing a holistic, creative approach. Charisse has extensive experience working with children struggling with low self-esteem, peer relations, parent-child relational issues, school issues, and issues related to ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other mood/impulse control/disruptive disorders. Charisse utilizes an integrative style, applying a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based, and Narrative Therapy, to best meet the goals and needs of each client. She strives to create a safe space for others to feel heard, understood, and accepted. As such, sessions are relaxed and informal, grounded in trust and a positive working relationship so that treatment is effective. She received her Master’s in Social Work from University of South Florida.
