Chris Williams is a Clinical Intern currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Chris has worked in various levels of mental health services, ranging from community centers to corporations and private practices. These experiences have included clients of various races, cultures and age groups. He is an individual therapist able to discuss a multitude of topics such as anxiety disorders, depression, men’s issues, stress management, behavioral change and goal-setting strategies, as well as career & occupational issues. Chris is an active therapist that utilizes various strategies and techniques to make sure each session moves the client closer to their therapeutic and personal goals. His work with clients relies on evidence-based psychotherapy methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Overall, Chris recognizes that everyone struggles in some way, and that seeking help for those struggles is a strength as well as a healthy approach to making positive changes.
