Elise Cook is a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. Elise works with a variety of presenting concerns, including but not limited to: relationship distress, pre-marital issues, infidelity, divorce, domestic abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, life and career transitions, and personality disorders.
Elise is a trauma-informed therapist who understands the impact that trauma, big or small, has on our ability to connect with others and maintain meaningful, healthy relationships. She strives to create a safe and open environment where individuals can explore where they are stuck, learn new tools and skills, and heal from past and current wounds. She utilizes an integrated, Client-Centered approach utilizing mindfulness techniques, Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based therapies depending on the needs of the client. Elise has specialized training in Couples and Family Counseling and is also a Prepare/ Enrich facilitator.
