Francesca “Franki” Catinella is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience counseling adults individually as well as within therapeutic groups. Franki’s approach to therapy is systemic and her belief is that each individual is an outcome of their experiences and environment. She also works from a sex-positive, body-positive, kink-positive, gender affirming lens with individuals within the LGBTQ+ and Queer communities. Her clinical foundation is rooted in positive psychology and strength-based approaches, and she incorporates interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy as well as psychodynamic theories.
Franki works with individuals who present with a variety of issues including navigating/exploring gender and sexuality, anxiety disorders, depression, stress management, substance use, relationship issues within monogamous and multiple partner relationships (polyamory, consensual non-monogamy), and life-stage adjustment. Franki trusts in the importance of therapeutic rapport and creating safe, trusting, non-judgmental environments. Working together in a safe environment, she aids you in restoring hope and facilitates healing by helping you discover how to cope with day-to-day stressors, including environmental strains and life transitions, while working to minimize anxiety, depression, grief, family or relationship issues.
