Heloisa G. R. Roach (she/her/hers/herself) holds a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Heloisa approaches therapy as a tool of integrative self-awareness, empowerment, and action that requires self-exploration and courage. Therefore, she implements a collaborative, empathic, nonjudgmental, and strength-based approach to promoting meaningful change. Additionally, she follows a Client-Centered approach while integrating Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral as well as Family Systems Theory in her practice.

Her areas of experience include Adjustment Disorders, Anxiety, CBT, Codependency, Communication Issues, Conflict Resolution, Cross-Cultural Issues, Depression, Divorce, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, Marital/Relationship, Premarital Issues, Self-Esteem, Social Anxiety, Stress Management, Women’s Issues and Work/Life Balance. And, as a culturally competent clinician, Heloisa values cultural literacy and fosters attentive practices to diverse backgrounds. In her undergraduate studies in Psychology, she presented her findings on unconscious attitudes on ethnicity at the Eastern Psychological Association’s Annual Meeting. She is a member of Urban Balance’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Heloisa is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at National Louis University. During her graduate studies, she served as Vice President and Student Mentor Coordinator for the Phi Gamma Sigma Chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society. Heloisa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College, an M.F.A. in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School for Design, and a B.F.A. in Time-Based Media Studies from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Minor in Art Therapy.
