Ilana Dress is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to individuals and couples with a variety of needs, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, work-life balance, relational issues, and personal and spiritual growth. She has an interest in women’s issues, including young adulthood, and pre and post baby adjustment. She is currently pursuing a certification in perinatal mental health through Post Partum Support International.
Prior to joining UB, Ilana worked in skilled nursing and community mental health settings. Ilana sees therapy as a safe, non-judgmental space to process, reflect, grow, and heal. She views therapy as an essential part of routine health care that can assist individuals in moving toward self-actualization and fulfillment. Ilana is an eclectic clinician, employing both cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic techniques depending on the unique needs of each client. She utilizes a person-centered and strengths-focused approach, as well as systemic and holistic frameworks when working with her clients.
