Joanne Lagattolla, LCPC, CADC, PCGC

Joanne Lagattolla is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Problem and Compulsive Gambling Counselor (PCGC), with over 18 years of experience. Joanne completed her Master’s degree in Counselor Education at Northeastern Illinois University.  Joanne has extensive experience working with adults and provides individual, couples and family services at Urban Balance. Those impacted by chemical and process addictions are welcome to share their recovery journey. Additionally, Joanne has received specific training around addressing sexual assault and intimate partner violence. Joanne’s areas of interest include helping others improve work-life balance, anxiety, depression, managing chronic medical and psychiatric conditions, as well as increasing overall life satisfaction. Her therapeutic approaches include, but are not limited to, mindfulness-based techniques, harm reduction strategies, 12 step programming, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In her work with clients, Joanne emphasizes sensitivity to trauma, acceptance, health, hope and healing.
