Kaitlyn Whitebread, LCPC
Kaitlyn is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a graduate of The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Kaitlyn is a strengths-based and trauma-informed clinician providing individual therapy to adults. She aims to provide a non-judgmental, authentic, and warm environment to enable exploration, insight building, and increased coping skills.
Kaitlyn is a strong believer in the potential for change and growth, even during life’s most challenging experiences. While working in community mental health and college counseling settings, she has developed interests in severe and persistent mental illness, substance use, complex trauma and acute stress, depression, anxiety, multicultural issues, and life transitions.
While Kaitlyn was trained through a psychodynamic lens, she also includes Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) approaches and has familiarity with the 12-Step model.
