Kevin Newhall is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering individual and couples therapy. He has experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief and loss, and relationship issues. Kevin tailors his approach according to the needs and strengths of the client, combining psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories. He provides an attentive, honest, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can increase insight and explore desired change. He is also experienced in the use of expressive arts, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help individuals discover more effective ways to utilize emotions and be in relationship with others. He specializes in affirmative treatment of LGBTQ clients and is comfortable with diverse expressions of sexuality and relationships. Kevin received his Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and has nine years of experience working in a variety of residential, hospital, and community mental health settings.
