Lauren has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents in a variety of settings, including outpatient private practice, community mental health, and multi-tiered inpatient behavioral health. Skilled in helping with a wide variety of presenting concerns, she specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and trauma. Lauren is also effective in helping individuals navigate life transitions, improve self-esteem, and resolve interpersonal and relationship challenges. Embracing a strong psychodynamic foundation, Lauren believes that early life experiences greatly inform our adult understanding of self and other, impacting our relationships, work, self-regard, and life choices.
Lauren is particularly skilled at helping individuals identify and modify experiential remnants of early life at odds with the realities and demands of adulthood. She also flexibly incorporates person-centered theory, relational theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy into her practice, always tailoring her approach to each client’s unique needs. In helping clients master difficult experiences and overcome life’s challenges, Lauren provides a safe and compassionate space for self-exploration, collaborative problem-solving, and personal healing.
