Melanie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. Melanie has experience working with adults of all ages in individual and group therapy settings, including a college campus and an intensive outpatient hospital setting. Melanie’s clinical interests focus on identity development and self-esteem, relationship issues and interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and mood management. Melanie enjoys helping clients to create positive changes, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, discover solutions, and rewrite their life stories in an empowering narrative. Her approach includes a collaborative and authentic relationship with the client in which she will provide support and honest feedback. 

Utilizing mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, she strives to empower the client with positive coping skills and increased self-awareness. Melanie has a deep appreciation of the human and animal connection, and she completed an internship in equine facilitated psychotherapy.
