Michelle Lester is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from North Park University.
Michelle has experience working with adults of all ages struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, co-dependency, relationships, and life transition issues including young adulthood, marriage, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, separation, divorce, and grief. Michelle works to meet clients where they are and utilizes a myriad of techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and internal family systems (IFS). Her theoretical orientation is person-centered, humanistic, and existential.
Prior to joining Urban Balance, Michelle worked as a paralegal in the areas of estate planning and family law. Michelle is also certified as a Divorce Mediator.
