Rachel Carlson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having earned her Master’s of Social Work from Loyola University. She has worked in an inpatient hospital setting for many years, where she has helped those experiencing acute crises as well as experiencing major life transitions. She also helps individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and relationship issues, as well as grief and loss.
Rachel has a person-centered approach to her work, which involves authentically and collaboratively working with clients in order to enable change. Growth is not always comfortable; therefore, it is essential in her practice to provide a safe and supportive environment to best help her clients. Rachel utilizes an integrative style, drawing from attachment based theory, Motivational Interviewing techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in her practice.
