Rachel Carlson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having earned her Master’s of Social Work from Loyola University. She has worked in both an inpatient hospital setting as well as a private practice for many years. Rachel is skilled in helping individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, as well as relationship issues.

As a culturally competent therapist, Rachel is committed to a lifelong learning practice on multiculturalism. She values and respects cultural differences in the therapy space by integrating the knowledge she continues to learn in order to increase the quality of her practice.

Rachel uses a person-centered approach to her work, which involves authentically and collaboratively working with clients. Growth is not always comfortable and so it is essential in her practice to provide a safe and supportive environment to best help her clients. Rachel utilizes an integrative style, drawing from Motivational Interviewing techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in her practice.
