Rashid Muhammad is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University. Rashid has experience working with adults, adolescents, and families with a wide range of presenting issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, anger, self-esteem, career issues, personality disorders, Men’s issues, and marital concerns. Rashid utilizes a variety of theoretical orientations and adjusts his treatment style to suit each client’s presenting concerns. He primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Reality Therapy. When it comes to working with adolescents or families struggling with life issues, Rashid is also a certified expert in the use of the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA), and the Community Reinforcement Approach for Family Therapy (CRAFT-an evidence based treatment method). He believes that each person has the internal ability to overcome and manage their struggles.
Rashid provides a welcoming, client-directed, and genuine atmosphere for clients to process the challenges of their day to day affairs.
