ross mondschain, clinical intern

Ross Mondschain is a Clinical Psychotherapy Intern currently pursuing his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He specializes in affirmative treatment of LGBTQ+ clients and is comfortable with diverse expressions of sexuality, gender, and intimate relationships. Ross is an engaging therapist who actively collaborates with his clients making sure each session moves them closer to their therapeutic and personal goals.

Having come to the mental health field later in life, Ross understands that making meaningful change in our life is a process that requires intentionality and support. Through a narrative/ liberation lens, he encourages clients to reexamine and challenge the stories we all tell ourselves that hold us back from realizing our full potential. To facilitate this, his work with clients relies on evidence-based psychotherapy methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Experiential Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Ross earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from National Louis University and studied Theatre Arts/ Film at SUNY Purchase.

He provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families (biological and chosen).
