Ruth Johnson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology as well as her Master’s of Arts in Family Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University.
Ruth has professional experience working in non-profit and private practice settings providing group, individual, couples and family therapy to adults and adolescents from various socioeconomic backgrounds. She has experience working with many issues, such as anxiety, depression, divorce, family and relationship issues, infidelity, self-esteem, social anxiety and work/life balance.
Ruth is a client-centered, solution focused therapist deeply rooted in systemic theory who works with individuals, couples and families to help cultivate receptiveness and empathy for one another’s feelings and needs within the relationship and family system. She is passionate about revitalizing the bond between couples and families through the development and strengthening of interpersonal and relationship skills. Ruth utilizes her compassionate style to create a safe therapeutic space for her clients.
