Shadan is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Rosalind Franklin University and undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Illinois at Chicago. Shadan has experience working with adults in individual and group therapy within mental health community settings.

Shadan has specialized interest in working with adults struggling with anxiety, self-esteem concerns, adjustment issues, depression, grief and loss, and relationship concerns. Shadan provides clients with a safe and nonjudgmental setting where they can process and identify their own strengths.  Shadan practices from a Client Centered foundation with all clients; she also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness tactics, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques, based on the client’s need. Shadan strongly believes that individuals are experts in themselves, and with support from a professional, they can make desired changes in areas of their lives. Besides English, Shadan is fluent in Persian.
