Stress is inevitable, so the incorporation of stress management tools such as mindfulness, self-care, and other methods aimed at responding to change, are central to the work. Using cognitive behavioral and person-centered approaches informed by psychodynamic theory, treatment consists of a series of conversations aimed at learning what is driving the problem and how the client can improve the quality of their life both now and in the future.
